The Chief of Asante Akyem Domeabra, Baffour Owusu Bediako I has praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential candidate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s credentials as a minister.
According to him, Ghanaians have benefitted from the works of Dr Prempeh and the NPP government.
Nana Baffour Owusu Bediako I made this known when Dr Prempeh popularly known when NAPO visited his palace after resuming his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region.
This follows the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday.
Dr Prempeh had earlier suspended his campaign in his region to prepare for the manifesto launch in Takoradi.
Nana Baffour Owusu Bediako while welcoming the team, spoke highly of Dr Prempeh’s role in the implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy and his subsequent performance at the energy ministry.
“Your policies have impacted me, and my people have also been impacted. I talk about your role in the implementation of the Free SHS and your performance at the energy ministry. I am a petroleum accountant, so I understood clearly some of the measures you took at the energy ministry,” Omanhene of Asante Akyem Domeabra stated.
He further revealed that chiefs like him will be vocal and play an instrumental role in the 2024 polls.
“Chiefs will play a major role in the 2024 election. We are going to speak out. We will praise politicians where we have and criticise same if need be,” he stated.
