Chiefs and queenmothers from the Assin South Constituency in the Central Region have declared their support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the December 7 general elections.

Notable figures, including the chief of Assin Darmang and the Krontihene of Assin Engresi, expressed their endorsement of the NDC during a community durbar at Assin Engresi on Tuesday.
The event was part of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s three-day campaign tour of the Central Region.
Nana Kwabena Waadie, the Krontihene of Assin Engresi, praised past NDC governments for their contributions, such as a hospital, market, and other development projects.
He expressed hope that the NDC would win the 2024 general elections to continue their developmental initiatives.
The chief of Assin Darmang, Okofo Kwadwo Benti, commended Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for her qualities as a mother and a scholar, stating that she would provide the necessary support to the NDC Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, to lead Ghana to prosperity.
He expressed his unwavering support for Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, emphasizing that women are excellent household managers, and praised the NDC flagbearer for selecting such a distinguished individual as his running mate.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang thanked the chiefs and queenmothers for their support and assured them that the NDC would continue to prioritize the development of the region.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stated that the next NDC administration would focus on job creation through the 24-hour economy and the National Apprenticeship Programme, and would undertake extensive infrastructure development through the Big Push initiative.
She urged the electorate to vote for change by supporting John Dramani Mahama, with the goal of making Ghana a better place for all citizens.
