NINE, a gripping thriller featuring a diverse cast from Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, and the US, will be premiering at Silverbird and Mall cinemas on Friday, November 29, 2024.

Written by Briana Cole and Erica Joy, the film follows a series of mysterious homicides of young women that occur during a full Ghanaian moon.

This prompts a forensic expert and an American homicide detective to collaborate in their investigation.

Driven by grief over the murder of his daughter, the U.S. detective travels to Africa, where he joins a group of assassins and uncovers a chilling series of witchcraft-related killings.

Directed and produced by Chris Attoh, NINE brings a fresh perspective to the industry and strengthens connections within its international cast.

Speaking at a press screening at the Silverbird Cinema on Monday, November 25, Chris Attoh indicated that “this will be a great platform for collaboration and exchange of knowledge among stakeholders in the industry.

‘We are not only looking at the success of the film but we are also hoping that it will be a platform for industry stakeholders to learn and grow collectively”, he added.

Prominent performers like Rosemary Zimu, who is well-known for her parts in Netflix’s “Shadow” and the hit TV show “Savage Beauty”, Kate Henshaw who is well-known for her roles in Netflix’s “Blood Sisters” and “Chief Daddy,” and Damien D. Smith from FX’s “Snowfall” and USA’s “The Purge” are amongst the leading casts for Chris Attoh’s movie.

Talented Ghanaian actors Fred Amugi, Juliet Ibrahim, Adjetey Anang, Zynnel Zuh, Sika Osei, Gideon Kojo Boakye, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Pascal Aka, and Darlyn Adu-Gyamfi are among those joining these African cinema stars.
