The discussions involved the Office of the Senior Presidential Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, and Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
Both parties demonstrated a strong commitment to resolving the long-standing issues surrounding the salary structure for civil service and local government staff.
According to a statement released by CLOGSAG, the government has pledged to finalize the salary structure process by October 31, 2024, with implementation set for January 1, 2025.
In light of this agreement, CLOGSAG has decided to call off the strike effective immediately.
The association expressed its satisfaction with the progress made and its appreciation for the government’s willingness to engage in constructive dialogue.
