The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has announced the start of purchases for the 2024/2025 Main Crop Season, which began on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

As part of this announcement, COCOBOD has established new producer prices for cocoa beans at all buying centers across the country.

Under the new pricing structure, farmers will receive GH₵1,440.00 per load of 30 kilograms for both Grade I and Grade II cocoa beans, with the beans purchased “naked ex-scale.”

For a standard 64-kilogram bag of cocoa beans, the price is set at GH₵3,000.00.

Furthermore, a tonne of cocoa, consisting of 16 bags, will be priced at GH₵48,000.00.

This increase in the producer price is expected to offer substantial relief to cocoa farmers, as the cocoa sector remains a key pillar of Ghana’s economy.
