Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was recently named the PFA’s Young Player of the Year, but the attacking midfielder emphasizes that his top priority is helping the club win trophies, rather than seeking personal accolades.

At 22, Palmer had an outstanding debut season with Chelsea, scoring 22 goals in 34 Premier League appearances after his transfer from Manchester City.

He also featured in five of England’s seven European Championship matches, including scoring in the final against Spain, despite England’s loss.

Reflecting on his achievements, Palmer told Sky Sports, “It was a great season for me personally, and I hope we can build on that this season.

My main goal is to win trophies with Chelsea, and while individual awards are nice, my focus is on delivering for the club.”

Palmer, who now joins Scott Parker and Eden Hazard as the third Chelsea player to receive this honor, recently extended his contract with the club until 2033.
