On October 14, 2024, the Accra Circuit Court instructed State Attorneys to conduct a psychological evaluation of Thomas Yeboah, one of the Democracy Hub protesters.

Despite being granted bail, Yeboah remains in police custody due to difficulties in securing surety, as his defense lawyers described him as mentally unstable.

The court, presided over by Judge Kobina Obiri Yeboah, expressed dissatisfaction with the prosecution’s handling of the case and urged them to assess Yeboah’s mental health.

The case has been adjourned to October 24.

Additionally, Oliver Barker Vormawor, another prominent protester who has been in police custody for 22 days, appeared in court, accompanied by protesters demanding his release.
