Daniel Kwaku Tweneboah Asirifi has assumed the position of Board Chairman at GCB Bank PLC (GCB) following the successful conclusion of Jude Kofi Arthur’s tenure and after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Ghana Business School, Mr. Asirifi was called to the Bar twenty years ago after completing his studies at the Ghana School of Law.
This appointment coincides with GCB Bank’s 70th anniversary as Ghana’s premier indigenous bank, underlining its dedication to providing unparalleled financial solutions for the country’s socio-economic advancement.

Mr. Asirifi, who has been a member of the GCB Board since February 24, 2022, brings extensive knowledge of the legal landscape and a deep understanding of the complex corporate governance framework of the financial services sector to the board.
During his tenure, Mr. Asirifi served as Chairman of the Board’s credit committee, the Board’s Human Resource and Remuneration committee, and the Board’s G-Money and Electronic Payments committee.
He has expressed his commitment to collaborating with the Board to advance the strategic objectives outlined in the bank’s four-year plan, with a particular emphasis on governance and sustainability.
