Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has joined Fiorentina to boost his career.

Fiorentina will present him to the media on Monday, August 12, but they haven’t said how long his contract is.
De Gea had a successful 13 years at Manchester United, where he made 545 appearances.
He was crucial in winning the 2012-13 Premier League title and also won two League Cups, one FA Cup, and the Europa League.
After his contract with Manchester United ended in 2023, De Gea spent last season without a club.
Fiorentina, who finished eighth in Serie A last season and are back in the UEFA Conference League play-offs, hope De Gea can help them win their first major trophy since 2001, when they won the Coppa Italia.
The 33-year-old, known for his great reflexes, will aim to regain his form after recent struggles and losing his place in the Spanish national team.
De Gea previously shone at Atletico Madrid before his successful move to Manchester United.
His signing is expected to be a major boost for Fiorentina as they aim to compete both domestically and in European competitions.
