The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a stern warning to senior security officers who might be considering assisting the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in allegedly rigging the upcoming December 7 general elections, urging them to abandon such plans immediately.
The party’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, called on these officers not to give in to the demands of the ruling NPP, warning that any law enforcer who helps the NPP undermine the will of the electorate will face consequences.

Speaking during his tour of the Ayensuano Constituency, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized that the NDC is aware of the identities of the security officers involved in the deaths of eight people during the 2020 elections, adding that such crimes have no statute of limitations.
“The security personnel, if you follow the government to do some unlawful things because your government is in power, on the day of reckoning, the government that encouraged you to open fire on the people would have left power and left you alone to face the consequences.
“Those who have intended to rig the 2024 election, the Police and military commanders, if you give orders for people to open fire on the people, you will not go scot-free, because crime has no expiry date. For the eight people who died in the 2020 election, accountability waits for them.
“Today, some of them have benefited from that act and have been promoted as ministers and still threatening to repeat what they did in the last elections. Tell them they are joking, everything you do, know that first fool is not a fool,”
