The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Akropong Constituency, Sammy Awuku, has described the upcoming 2024 general elections as a pivotal decision between hope and despair.
Speaking at the New Patriotic Party’s final rally at the University of Ghana on December 5, Mr. Awuku advised Ghanaians to vote wisely and take control of their future during the polls on Saturday, December 7.

“Don’t play with your destiny, vote wisely. This election is not about fake promises or gimmicks like offering you three chicks or running shifts at a nightclub. It’s about your future,” he emphasized.
Expressing confidence in the NPP’s leadership, Mr. Awuku assured the crowd that a government led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would deliver on job creation, expand the free SHS program, and provide financial stability for all citizens.
The rally, held two days before the elections, served as a call to action for voters to secure their future with the NPP’s vision for progress and development.
He emphasized the transformative vision of the NPP and its determination to bring about positive change. “The election before us is a choice between hope and hopelessness. It’s a contest between the future and the past. This election is a destiny vote,” he added.
At the rally, dubbed the “Possibilities Victory Rally,” the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, also addressed the crowd. He stated that he didn’t need a honeymoon period and would get straight to work to deliver on his ambitious vision for Ghana.
“I don’t need a honeymoon; I know what I want to do from day one in the presidency,” Bawumia said to loud cheers. “Give me the chance to transform this nation.”
