John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, has urged Aflao residents to resist security personnel confiscating their Ghana Cards, citing reports of Ghana Immigration Service officers seizing cards at the border.
Mahama emphasized that only the National Identification Authority has the right to withdraw a Ghana Card, and residents should not surrender their cards to anyone.
He encouraged residents to stand firm against such actions and not be intimidated.
This comes amid reports of alleged attempts by security personnel to confiscate Ghana Cards from residents, which Mahama condemns, stressing the importance of protecting citizens’ rights.
