Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, has been appointed as the Campaign Coordinator for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Middle-Belt regions, encompassing Ashanti, Eastern, Bono, Ahafo, Bono East, and Western North regions.
His appointment comes in recognition of his exceptional performance in a similar capacity during the NPP primaries, where he orchestrated significant support for the Vice President and eventual winner across five regions in the Middle Belt.
With his extensive experience in coordinating party activities, Dr. Ayew Afriye is poised to support the NPP flagbearer as they aim to ‘Break The 8’ in the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections.
He will be supported by fellow MPs Dominic Nitiwul and Hawa Koomson, who have been tasked with coordinating the Northern and Coastal Belts, respectively.
As a medically-trained legislator, Dr. Ayew Afriye has demonstrated his value since his election into parliament, notably securing an unprecedented victory as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the Effiduase-Asokore constituency.
His overwhelming support, evidenced by over 95% of votes for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia during the primaries, underscores his commitment to the party’s objectives.
