Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, former Member of Parliament for Bantama and ex-CEO of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has urged NPP members and the public to fully support the Bawumia/NAPO ticket for the 2024 elections.
In a press statement he issued, Dr. Kokofu mentioned that he has personally contacted Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh to congratulate him on his nomination by the NPP Flagbearer and Leader.
He expressed wholehearted support for the team’s efforts to ensure the party achieves a “break-the-8” victory.
“I have already congratulated Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) on his nomination and have pledged my unflinching support. We shall together prosecute the Breaking-The-8 Agenda” he said.
He called on the rank and file of the party to come on board and to prosecute the 2024 agenda of winning the elections.
“Let us all rally behind the Flagbearer and the Running Mate in unity. Reconciling and energising the rank and file remains the only sure bet to clinch victory in the general elections come 2024. Once again, IT IS POSSIBLE!!!” he said.
In recent days, NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has met with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to inform him of his choice for running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh.
The President has endorsed Dr. Opoku-Prempeh as Bawumia’s running mate and has also briefed the party’s Majority in Parliament and the National Executive Council (NEC) about this decision.
The party’s National Council will convene on Thursday, July 4, 2024, to finalize the nomination, paving the way for the ticket to commence its campaign aimed at achieving the party’s goal of “breaking the 8.”
