Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his disappointment and surprise at the comments made by esteemed lawyer Sam Okudzeto regarding the corruption allegations against former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah.
Okudzeto’s statements, which appeared to support the former minister, were criticized by Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe as unbecoming of his stature and unacceptable.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe emphasized the importance of holding government officials accountable, particularly in corruption cases, to ensure transparency within the system.
He questioned how officials can amass wealth and build properties without accountability, citing the need for transparency.
In an interview with Kafui Dey, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe expressed his astonishment at Okudzeto’s defense of Cecilia Dapaah, who is under investigation for corruption.
He noted that Okudzeto’s statement that keeping money at home is not illegal raises questions about the source of funds used to build properties and acquire wealth.
The background of the case involves Cecilia Dapaah’s investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for corruption and related offenses, following the arrest of her house helps for allegedly stealing valuables and large sums of money from her residence.
The OSP has frozen and unfrozen her accounts multiple times, with some accounts still under freeze.
