On New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), brought joy to over 4,000 individuals from various backgrounds at his residence in American House, East Legon, Accra.

The beneficiaries, including senior citizens, women, men, and youth, were treated to a generous package featuring a 5-kilogram bag of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, mackerel sardines, and transport fare. Many of the attendees began arriving as early as 6:00 a.m. to partake in the distribution.

The day’s event began with a praise and worship session led by Pastor Daniel Danso, Chaplain of JGC, during which several individuals accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Madam Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, highlighted that this act of philanthropy was a reflection of Dr. Siaw Agyepong’s people-centered approach and his commitment to giving back to society.

“This is not the first time Dr. Siaw Agyepong and his family have made such a donation. It started some years ago in the neighborhood, and now, we have over 4,000 individuals here today from far and wide,” said Madam Appiaa Osei-Duah.

She noted that beneficiaries traveled from places such as Nsawam, Koforidua, and Kasoa to receive the gifts. The purpose of the charity, she explained, is to share their joy with the less-privileged at the start of the New Year.

Madam Appiaa Osei-Duah underscored that Dr. Siaw Agyepong is a devout Christian and an elder in the Church of Pentecost, Metso branch, who believes that through such benevolence people will come to know Christ.

As a successful entrepreneur with interests in various sectors, including waste management, ICT, and banking, Dr. Siaw Agyepong’s kindness is inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.
