Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, has broken her silence on a long-standing allegation against her father, former President Jerry John Rawlings.
In an interview with GHOne TV, she addressed the claim that her father was involved in the brutalization of her supposed boyfriend, Selassie O’Sullivan-Djentuh, in 2000.
Selassie had alleged that soldiers shaved his head with a broken bottle and beat him up after he ended his relationship with Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings.
He made these claims in a statement to the British Home Office while seeking asylum in the UK.
However, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings has now clarified that the incident was actually related to a land dispute between Selassie and a military officer, and had nothing to do with her or her father.
