A pedestrian was fatally injured in a hit-and-run incident on the Kanda Highway on Tuesday, October 8.
The driver of a Toyota V8 struck the victim around 8:30 PM and then fled the scene.
Eyewitness Shaibu Danjuma reported that the driver briefly stopped but left without offering assistance.
The police have since transported the unidentified body to a mortuary.
Local residents expressed their concerns about the frequent accidents on that stretch of road, citing inadequate street lighting as a contributing factor.
