Duma Boko was officially sworn in as the sixth President of Botswana on Friday by Chief Justice Terrence Rannowane at the High Court.

In his acceptance speech broadcasted on Botswana Television, Boko emphasized the importance of promptly taking the oath of office, noting that any delay would leave the country without a leader.

He expressed his commitment to quickly addressing the country’s economic challenges, particularly by seeking ways to diversify Botswana’s economy, which heavily depends on diamond sales.
