Central Region police have apprehended two individuals, Yusif Afrim (25) and Wisdom Sete (35), in connection with the robbery and murder of an 80-year-old American-based Ghanaian, Naomi, at her private residence in Nyinese.
The suspects allegedly stole two vehicles – a Mini Cooper saloon car (CR 267-24) and a Toyota Vitz (GJ 3817-21) – and buried the victim behind her residence before fleeing towards Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Acting on intelligence, police intercepted the suspects at New Edubiase and, upon interrogation, Wisdom Sete confessed to using juju to kill Naomi on April 18, 2024.
He claimed a misunderstanding with the deceased over access to the Toyota Vitz saloon car, despite their pending marriage ceremony, led to the crime.
