The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised concerns about potential manipulation in the ongoing Limited Voter Registration exercise.
James Agbey, an NDC security operative, alleges that Ghana Immigration Service officers in border towns, particularly in NDC strongholds, have been asked to relocate.
This, he claims, is to facilitate collusion between the Electoral Commission (EC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to influence the registration process.

Agbey stated that he has intelligence indicating that the EC is engaged in clandestine activities to undermine the registration exercise, which started on May 7, 2024.
He also referenced the previous Limited Voter Registration, which was marred by widespread irregularities and manipulations.
He warned the EC and its chairperson, Jean Mensa, to ensure a free and fair process, or face resistance from the NDC.
The NDC has expressed concerns about potential registration fraud and manipulation, citing evidence of official culpability and manipulation in the allocation of electoral officials.
Agbey’s statement, made available to GhanaWeb, emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
