The Electoral Commission (EC) has appealed to Ghanaians for their support in ensuring credible and transparent elections, amid ongoing disputes surrounding the re-collation and declaration of parliamentary results.
The affected constituencies include Nsawam Adoagyiri, Dome Kwabenya, Ablekuma North, and Okaikwei Central.
At a press conference in Accra on Friday, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa stressed the importance of public cooperation in upholding the integrity of the electoral process.

She called on citizens to play an active role in maintaining peace and order during elections, underscoring that credible elections are a collective responsibility.
“We would like to finally call on the citizens of Ghana to support us in our bid to carry out our mandate. May God bless all of you and may God bless our homeland Ghana and make her great and strong,” she said.
Mensa also reaffirmed the EC’s stance that the parliamentary results for Dome Kwabenya, Okaikwei Central, and Ablekuma North remain invalid.
She explained that the declarations in these constituencies were made under duress, with threats to electoral staff and incidents of ballot paper destruction.
The EC has yet to announce its next steps in addressing the unresolved disputes in these constituencies.
