The Electoral Commission’s Deputy Chairman of Operations, Samuel Tettey, announced a switch in printers for the December 7 election ballots in the Oti and Western North Regions.

In a letter dated October 25, Mr. Tettey informed stakeholders that Yarsarko Printing Press Ltd, initially assigned to print ballots for these regions, would no longer be responsible for the task.
Instead, Buck Press Ltd will now handle ballots for the Oti Region, and Acts Commercials Ltd will cover the Western North Region.
Although Mr. Tettey did not provide specific reasons for the change, the shift has raised some concerns due to the sensitivity of ballot printing.
This process is critical to election security, with political parties often wary of potential irregularities.
The letter, however, underscores the Electoral Commission’s commitment to transparency in its preparations for the upcoming elections.
