A Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Bossman Asare, has stated that the commission is prepared to meet with all political parties to address issues related to the voter register.

He noted that the concerns raised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the register have been adequately resolved.
“The Commission is ready to meet all political parties and clarify any issues,” he said during an interview on TV3’s Hot Issues with Kemnini Amanor on Sunday, September 29.
Dr. Bossman Asare also remarked that it is premature for the NDC to request a forensic audit of the voter register. “There has never been an audit of the register. A committee was established in 2016 to address concerns. Those advocating for an audit of the voter register may not be familiar with C.I. 91,” he added.
His comments come in response to concerns regarding the appointment of certain commission members, who are perceived to be sympathetic to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
