Electoral Commission (EC) officials in the Sege Constituency, Greater Accra Region, have resorted to facial verification due to technical challenges with Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs).
At the Goi Pentecost Center 2B, over 14 voters used facial verification after multiple failed fingerprint attempts, leading to delays. Despite these issues, voters remained calm as polling officials worked to resolve the challenges and ensure a smooth voting process.

The 2024 elections have seen reports of missing names and verification problems across several polling centres nationwide. At the Old Library polling station in the Ledzokuku Constituency, confusion arose when registered voters discovered their names missing from the electoral roll, adding to delays and frustration.
Similar issues were reported in the Ablekuma Central Constituency, raising concerns about the accuracy of the voter register, which was expected to undergo thorough verification ahead of the elections.
In other areas, such as Tamale Central and Wulensi, biometric verification devices encouraged some challenges, halting the voting process temporarily.
Not a single vote has been cast at the Faith Academy polling station in the Ledzokuku Constituency due to malfunctioning Biometric Verification Devices.
The delays have sparked tensions among affected voters with some fearing disenfranchisement.
However, polling officials have urged calm and reassured voters that efforts are underway to address these issues promptly.
