The Egyptian military says 10 soldiers have been either killed or wounded in an explosion that targeted their armoured vehicle in the troubled northern Sinai region.
An army spokesman said the attack happened close to the city of Bir al-Abed.
The spokesman did not clarify how many soldiers had died and how many were hurt.
No group has said it carried out the bombing, but militants loyal to the Islamic State group are active in the area.
