Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized the 24-hour economy policy proposed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), calling it senseless.
Mustapha argued that the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, presents a more effective strategy for tackling unemployment, especially among the youth.
In an interview on Eyewitness News, Mustapha dismissed the NDC’s 24-hour economy policy, stating that it lacks substance and clarity.
“If you take the issue of job creation, which the flagbearer takes very seriously, this is not about the senseless policy of 1-3-3, where you cannot tell where the jobs are going to come from.
“The existing ones are what you want to reshuffle. This is not how empowering youth works, that is not the way to develop young people.
“A policy that the originators cannot explain is senseless. If they can, they should explain,” he stated.
