The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Ghanaian voters, particularly the youth, to have faith in his leadership as he campaigns for the presidency in the upcoming December 7 election.

At a nationwide youth engagement event on Sunday, November 3, 2024, Dr. Bawumia outlined his vision for economic recovery and the empowerment of young people.

He pledged to lead with discipline, integrity, and a solution-oriented mindset to address Ghana’s urgent challenges.

In a direct appeal to the youth, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his commitment to tackling the nation’s economic issues, creating jobs, and cultivating an environment where young individuals can thrive and actively contribute to the country’s development.

“If your priority is, as I suspect strongly, on the economic recovery that is before us, then I will plead with you to vote for me because of the vision and solutions that I have for you, the country and the leadership discipline and determination that I posses to see the nation through. My own core values are god-fearing, tolerance, integrity, honesty, discipline, hard work and inclusivity.

“My can-do spirit, my rejection of the tag of impossibility, my passion for unleashing the creative energies of the youth, and my compassion for the poor and vulnerable; all align perfectly with the hopes and dreams of the young people of our country.

“Rich or poor, north or south, educated or not. Skilled or not, rural or urban. That is why I am asking you to vote on December 7, 2024. Place your trust in me and I shall not disappoint you,” he stated.
