President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the upcoming elections in December.
During a tour of the Upper East Region on Tuesday, President Akufo-Addo stressed the significance of continuity in governance to maintain the progress and development accomplished under his administration.
The President underscored Dr. Bawumia’s contributions to the current government and his ability to lead the nation into the future.
“I came here to give you an account of my stewardship, say hello for your support, and also to urge you to seriously consider the need for you to choose somebody to step into my shoes who is going to carry on the policies that we have enumerated that have brought relief, progress, and development to our country,” he stated.
He added, “This particular election is a simple one. When you go to the polls, on the ballot paper just look at number one. You will see the elephant on number one; you don’t have to go any further.”
