The Eminent Persons Group of the Christian Council of Ghana has called on security agencies to uphold professionalism and impartiality during the December 7 elections.
The group, consisting of Christian and Muslim leaders, emphasized that the integrity of the electoral process hinges on the conduct of the security forces.

In a media address, Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, Co-Chair of the Eminent Persons Group, stressed that the security agencies’ role in maintaining peace and fairness is crucial for ensuring the credibility and transparency of the election results.
” The Eminent Persons Group call upon the Ghana police service and all state security agencies to maintain professionalism and neutrality during the election.

Inspector general of police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has assured us of their commitment, impartiality and professionalism which we commend and Applaud. We expect this commitment to be reflected in their actions on voting day and beyond.
“The police must ensure that every citizen can exercise their right to vote without fear or intimidation. The integration of our electoral process relies on the commitment of our security personnel to uphold the law fairly”.
