The Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed that all ballot papers and biometric verification devices will be deployed to every region across the country by the end of the weekend.

The EC stated that it has already sent ballot papers to 13 regions, with the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions still pending.
During a meeting with the National Elections Security Taskforce, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa highlighted the Commission’s preparedness for the upcoming elections.”
“As we speak, all our registers have been prepared, and they have been disseminated across the country. We are also near completion with our ballots for the presidential and parliamentary polls.
“All the ballots, except the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions, have been disseminated to our police armouries across the country. I am well aware that the ballot papers for these regions will be disseminated to the police armouries this afternoon.”
The head of the National Election Security Taskforce, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, also promised the commitment of the security agencies to ensure a peaceful election
“In our readiness, we want to say that we will protect every Ghanaian and every stakeholder in this election to ensure that the election is executed to the benefit of Ghanaians to ensure peace.”
