John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asserted that he has become a major source of concern for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), highlighting verbal slip-ups by party members during their campaign events.

This includes a viral video where NPP’s running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, mistakenly referred to Mahama instead of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s candidate, during a campaign rally.
Mahama believes these incidents signal growing unease within the ruling party, especially in light of his promise to prosecute public officials involved in the mismanagement of state resources.
Speaking at a community engagement in Somanya during his Eastern Region campaign tour, Mahama emphasized that the NPP’s discomfort only strengthens the credibility and importance of his anti-corruption stance.
“When the leaders of NPP sleep, the person they dream about is John Mahama. Any night they sleep, it is John Mahama they dream about and that is why Nana Akufo-Addo says ‘Akufo-Addo- Mahama’ administration. It came out of his mouth because every day he dreams about John Mahama.
“The Ashanti Regional Chairman said when you go vote for John Dramani Mahama. When I was coming here to Odumasi, I saw another video where their running mate NAPO said ‘Vote for John Mahama’. They whispered to him but he didn’t hear and still said ‘Vote for Mahama’, then they said ‘No, no, no, Bawumia”, he stated.
