The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Kobina Tahir Hammond, has expressed strong support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, urging Ghanaians to vote for him in the 2024 general elections.

During Dr. Bawumia’s campaign tour of the Ashanti Region on Friday, November 15, KT Hammond described Bawumia as “God’s gift to Ghana,” highlighting his visionary leadership and integrity as key qualities that make him the ideal candidate for the presidency.

Hammond emphasized that electing a leader with such qualities is crucial for Ghana’s future prosperity.

He also contrasted Dr. Bawumia’s leadership with that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

According to Hammond, Mahama has already been rejected by voters in past elections and does not deserve another opportunity to lead the country.

“[Mahama] There’s someone in this country who wants to be president again after being rejected severally by the electorate. He was unable to answer several allegations leveled against him regarding his tenure including his inability to bring back the guinea fowl which flew to Burkina Faso. NDC communicators are unable to even explain the 24-hour economy proposal.

“You remember how Jesus Christ was treated, let’s be careful. God has given us Alhaji Dr Bawumia as a gift. Let’s make sure we vote for him to be President to use his knowledge and skills to change the fortunes of Ghana. He will ensure developments in Asokwa.”

On Friday, Dr. Bawumia continued his tour of the Ashanti Region, engaging with the Adansi area, which includes six constituencies: Akrofuom, Obuasi East and West, Fomena, Adansi Asokwa, and New Edubiase. Earlier, Dr. Bawumia visited Obuasi East, Obuasi West, and Akrofuom.

His Friday itinerary included New Edubiase, Adansi Asokwa, and Fomena. Notably, New Edubiase is the only constituency among the six that consistently supports the NDC.
