Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is scheduled to submit his nomination papers for the upcoming presidential elections on Monday, September 9th, at 2:00 p.m.

This crucial step signifies a key moment in his campaign to secure victory in the December 7 elections, with Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his Vice Presidential running mate.

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the spokesperson for the Mahama campaign, confirmed the filing, highlighting its significance and the campaign’s emphasis on inclusivity and economic recovery.

“This is a significant milestone for the NDC as we prepare to build the Ghana we all aspire to.

Our campaign is centered on Jobs, Accountability, Development, and a brighter future for all Ghanaians,” Mogtari said.

Among his campaign promises, Mahama has vowed to revamp the country’s educational system by heavily investing in infrastructure and teacher training to ensure that no child is left behind.

He has also pledged to improve healthcare services across the nation, promising accessible and free primary healthcare for every Ghanaian.

Meanwhile, the NDC leader is set to begin a four-day tour of the Bono Region starting Sunday.

The #Mahama4Change2024 tour will cover all 12 constituencies, including courtesy visits to traditional councils, community engagements, meetings with religious leaders, and interactions with the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.

During the tour, Mahama will also hold a youth forum at Sunyani Technical University.
