With the 2024 general elections just weeks away, private legal practitioner Manuel Sawyerr has reaffirmed his unwavering support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
At a vibrant ceremony filled with party supporters, polling station executives, and community members, Mr. Sawyerr donated 15 high-power motorbikes to enhance the operations of various electoral areas.
These areas include Legon, Roman Ridge, Okponglo, East Legon, Shiashie, West Legon, Bawaleshie, Mempeasem, Abelemkpe, Tesano, Dzorwulu, and Airport.
The party’s Youth, Women’s, and Nasara Wings also benefited from the donation, receiving motorbikes to support their voter outreach, mobilization, and campaign activities.
In addition to the motorbikes, Mr. Sawyerr presented 4,000 branded T-shirts and 2,000 campaign posters featuring the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary candidate and the NPP’s presidential candidate, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. These materials aim to increase the visibility of the NPP’s candidates and energize the party’s grassroots campaign across the constituency.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the party, Constituency Executives, led by Chairman Alhaji Osman and Member of Parliament Lydia Seyiram Alhassan who doubles as Minister for Water & Sanitation expressed profound gratitude.
The MP acknowledged Mr. Sawyerr’s consistent support for the constituency and described his contributions as a testament to his commitment to the NPP’s vision of progress and development.
During his speech, Mr. Sawyerr, who serves as a member of the constituency’s Council of Patrons and Chairman of his polling station, highlighted the importance of collective effort in securing victory for the NPP. He emphasized the need for unity, hard work, and grassroots mobilization to ensure a massive turnout on election day.
“You must remember that every single vote counts. Mobilize your families, friends, and neighbors. Let us secure a resounding victory for the NPP in Ayawaso West Wuogon and beyond,” Mr. Sawyerr stated passionately.
Known for his philanthropic gestures, Mr. Sawyerr has made significant contributions to the constituency over the years, including similar donations during the 2016 and 2020 elections.
His commitment extends beyond Ayawaso West Wuogon, as he has supported NPP campaigns in other constituencies across Ghana.
