Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has predicted a decisive first-round victory in the 2024 general elections, with former President John Dramani Mahama securing an outright win as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate.

Dankwah further forecasts that the NDC will also secure a parliamentary majority.

In an interview with Bernard Avle on The Point of View on Channel One TV, Dankwah’s projections sharply contrast with those of Prof. Smart Sarpong, Director of Research and Innovation at Kumasi Technical University.

Prof. Sarpong’s recent poll suggests that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will retain its parliamentary majority. He also predicts that NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will lead the polls with 49.1% of the votes, compared to Mahama’s 45.8%, potentially resulting in a runoff.

Dankwah’s own survey indicates a contrasting outcome, showing Mahama ahead with 51.9% of voter support, while Dr. Bawumia follows with 40.5%. The diverging forecasts underscore differing interpretations of the political landscape ahead of the 2024 elections.

“No runoff, Mahama wins the first round. NDC will have a majority in parliament. I say NDC,” Mussa Dankwah said.
