The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is confident of delivering a decisive defeat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra region during the December 7 general elections.

The party also aims to increase its parliamentary representation in the region, where it currently holds 20 of the 34 seats, while the NPP has 14.
Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, MP for Odododiodoo and a key member of the NDC Campaign Team, highlighted that although Greater Accra is traditionally a swing region, the NDC is ramping up its grassroots mobilization and campaign efforts to secure additional seats in the forthcoming elections.
“I am very sure about retaining Odododiodio and I am also sure about the NDC increasing our number of seats in the Greater Accra region.
We now have 20, and the NPP have 14, but I am assuring NDC supporters and the whole NDC as a party that we will at least add four more seats to the 20 we are holding.
“If we don’t lose any of the 20 we have, I am assuring them that we will add more seats and for clarity, the NDC will win Greater Accra whether the NPP likes it or not.”
