Accra Mayor Elizabeth Kwatsoe Sackey has warned that a vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming election could derail ongoing District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) projects.

The DRIP initiative focuses on enhancing road infrastructure across Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies to improve accessibility nationwide.

During an inspection of project sites in the Accra Metropolitan Area, the Mayor highlighted the significance of sustaining governance continuity to ensure the program’s success and expansion.

She called on Ghanaians to reflect on the progress achieved and rally behind the NPP to maintain the momentum in driving infrastructure development.

“DRIP is a good initiative, every district has it and therefore every district is working at the same time to ensure there is a free flow of vehicles. This is exactly what we are doing. I want to say a very big thank you to the president for this dream.

“We are sure that he will come because God has ordained it placing him first on the ballot. We are looking forward to seeing him continue this good work.

“Usually when there is a change in government, projects are stalled and new administrations claim they do not know much about the project. They then take time to research about it. But this one will be a continuation.

“We need a continuation in governance. When the NPP government is given the nod, these roads will continue”, she stated.
