Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has encouraged Ghanaians to consider the positive impacts of the two main political parties when making their choice in the upcoming 2024 elections.

He emphasized the importance of evaluating the policies and initiatives implemented by the NPP government over the past seven and a half years, comparing them with those of their primary rival, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), before casting their votes in December.
During a campaign tour in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency, Dr. Bawumia highlighted that the true measure of a people-centered government lies in the tangible impact of its policies and programs on the average Ghanaian, as observed during a community engagement in Gbintiri.

“The NPP government has made it possible for every Ghanaian child to access Secondary education through Free SHS. The government has made it possible for every Ghanaian to enjoy banking services with mobile money interoperability.
“Today, because of the use of drones, we can send medicine and other medical supplies to remote places in Ghana. You can renew your Health Insurance from your phone. Indeed, there are so many initiatives this NPP government has implemented to make life better for everyone.
“We in NPP have the vision and the ideas to transform Ghana, unlike our opponents who are only interested in Guinea fowls that fly away and little hen coops. Our record of development in the north is unmatched and there for all to see, from the creation of new regions to the provision of schools, water, roads, hospitals and many more,” he said.
Dr. Bawumia looks ahead to a promising future, acknowledging the groundwork laid by the Nana Akufo-Addo government for growth. He emphasized that under his leadership, the next administration will prioritize policies and initiatives aimed at stimulating business and industry, enhancing healthcare with faster and improved services, improving the quality and accessibility of ICT-based education, and uplifting the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
During the first day of his constituency campaign tour in the North East Region, Dr. Bawumia paid visits to traditional leaders such as the Nayiri (Overlord of the Mamprugu State) in Nalerigu, as well as other leaders including the Gbintiri Naa in Gbintiri, Yunyoo Rana in Yunyoo, and the Bunkpurugu Naaba in Bunkpurugu.
His itinerary also includes meetings with key stakeholders, engagement with youth groups, door-to-door campaigns, and participation in community events alongside the NPP Parliamentary Candidates from Nalerigu/Gambaga, Yunyoo, and Bunkpurugu constituencies.
