England rugby coach Steve Borthwick has announced his team for the highly anticipated first Test against New Zealand’s All Blacks in Dunedin on Saturday.
The lineup features a mix of experienced players and fresh talent, with two changes from the team that triumphed over Japan last month.
Joe Marler and Will Stuart join captain Jamie George in the front row, while Marcus Smith takes the reins at fly-half.
Borthwick’s squad is formidable despite the absence of senior players like George Ford, and they’re eager to take on the All Blacks under new coach Scott Robertson.
“Playing New Zealand at home is the ultimate challenge, and we’re ready to put our skills to the test,” Borthwick said. “We need to be mentally tough, strategic, and disciplined to come out on top in this tight contest.”
The Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin promises an electric atmosphere, with a fast surface and a closed roof setting the stage for a thrilling match.
“We’re excited to play in front of a packed crowd and showcase our abilities,” Borthwick added.
