Edward Ennin, a former Obuasi-East MP, has questioned Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s ability to lead the country due to his delay in selecting a running mate.

With less than six months until the election, Ennin believes this indecision shows Bawumia is not ready for the presidency.

Ennin finds it puzzling that Bawumia has not exercised his constitutional right to choose a running mate, despite rumors of internal party disagreements influencing his decision.

He contrasts Bawumia’s hesitation with the clear choices made by former Presidents Kuffour and Akufo-Addo.

Ennin argues that if Bawumia cannot make a decision like this without being swayed by others, he lacks the boldness and strength to be president.

He questions whether Bawumia can lead effectively if he cannot make a simple decision like choosing a running mate.

The search for a suitable running mate continues, with Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh emerging as top candidates, both from the Ashanti Region.

Ennin notes that choosing either candidate will create dissatisfaction within the party due to their respective support bases, making the decision even more challenging.

When asked about the NPP’s chances of breaking the 8, Ennin expressed his disinterest in the party’s internal affairs, stating he is currently focused on his own business and not concerned with the party’s future.
