The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, has issued a strong warning to employees of the ministry, stating that any staff found sabotaging government efforts will face immediate dismissal.

Opoku stressed that the 2024 elections are over and now is the time for all stakeholders to unite and focus on the development of Ghana. Speaking at a staff meeting, he underscored the importance of teamwork and dedication to achieving the ministry’s goals for the betterment of the country.
“The politics is over. You may belong to one party or the other but at the end of the day, we are talking about Ghana and how to govern our country.
“So let’s all hang our political jackets. Mobilise all that we have so we can succeed because this is the only country we have.
“If you are still in the political mood and you think that everything is politics, then you are an obstacle. An obstacle must be cleared to allow free flow of development.”
