Aim-listed exploration and development company Atlantic Lithium Limited has obtained an environmental permit from Ghana’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its Ewoyaa Lithium Project.
This permit signifies the EPA’s approval of the project’s environmental impact assessment, which incorporated feedback from both the EPA and local communities.

Neil Herbert, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Lithium, stated, “The issuance of the EPA permit represents a significant milestone towards constructing Ghana’s first lithium mine.
This achievement follows a collaborative engagement process with the EPA and residents in the project’s catchment area to ensure alignment with the Company’s proposed activities at Ewoyaa.”
The final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) submission, which included responses to feedback from the EPA on the draft EIS submitted in May 2024, also addressed questions raised during public hearings held in Ewoyaa and Krofu in February and June 2024.
