Francisca Owumi, the first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) in 2006, has passed away.
Her family announced her death on Instagram with a simple message: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Reports indicate that Owumi died after a brief illness.
She was known for her vibrant dance moves and charming personality on the show.
After her time on BBNaija, she pursued a career in music, releasing two singles, and worked as a writer for an international magazine based in Ghana.
During her BBNaija stint, she competed alongside current show hosts Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Katung Aduwak, and Gideon Okeke, among others.
