The family of 38-year-old slain Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, says it remains undeterred despite repeated adjournments, as court proceedings have again been rescheduled to December 17 following the presiding judge’s failure to appear.
The prime suspect, Bright Aweh, whose hair appeared to have begun locking, and the second accused, Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Dzaase, were both present in court on Wednesday, December 3.
While some attendees expressed frustration over the slow pace of the trial, an in-law of the deceased, Yaw Mensah, told Citi News that the family remains committed to seeking justice and continues to trust the court process.
“The judge didn’t make it to court today. We came here for a date so that once the Attorney General’s recommendation arrives, we can begin the trial. We will not relent; we are committed to following this case to the very end. All along, we have been following the proceedings to ensure that the suspects are not granted bail,” he said.
Amoah, 38, was reported missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate. His charred body was later discovered on July 9 at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya, sparking a manhunt and an intensive police investigation.
