Several wildfires continue to burn across Los Angeles, with significant blazes including the Palisades fire, which has spread to over 15,800 acres south of the city, and the Eaton fire in Altadena and Pasadena, which spans more than 10,000 acres.

The Hurst fire in Sylmar, which began on Tuesday, has grown to over 700 acres, while the Sunset fire ignited overnight in Hollywood Hills near the Hollywood Bowl. Additionally, the Lidia fire near Acton has spread to over 340 acres.

The Eaton fire has been confirmed to have caused the deaths of five people.

Two other fires have been contained: the Woodley fire in Sepulveda Basin, which was kept under control before exceeding 30 acres, and a blaze in Hollywood’s Studio City, which has been extinguished with no reported casualties.

Authorities have ordered evacuations, with approximately 130,000 residents affected by the ongoing fires.

Some 130,000 people are now under mandatory evacuation orders across the city.

Three looters who went into abandoned houses have been arrested.
