Atlantic Lithium Limited has confirmed the resignation of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board’s Remuneration and Nomination Committee, effective immediately.

Koranteng’s resignation follows his recent removal as CEO of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), a decision made by President John Dramani Mahama in a letter dated January 13, 2025.

Koranteng had served on Atlantic Lithium’s Board as MIIF’s nominee director, a position created under a US$5 million subscription agreement between MIIF and the company.

Despite his departure, MIIF retains the right to nominate a replacement director for the Board.

Neil Herbert, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Lithium, commented: “On behalf of the Atlantic Lithium Board and management team, I would like to extend my gratitude to Edward for his valued contributions to the company during his tenure and wish him well in his future pursuits.”

Atlantic Lithium is a leading lithium exploration and development company focused on Africa.

It is currently advancing its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana, which is poised to become the country’s first lithium-producing mine.

The company has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable resource development in West Africa and its focus on delivering the Ewoyaa project amid this leadership transition.
