Former Minister of Defence and Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central Constituency, Mark Owen Woyongo, has died at age 78.
Family sources,confirmed his death to the Ghana in Accra, said the former Upper East Regional Minister had been unwell for some time.He died in Accra in the late hours of Wednesday, January 17, 2023.

The former Interior Minister recently buried his son, Kenneth Kwotua, who died at age 49.
The former Member of Parliament retired from politics in 2016 after he lost the 2016 election.
Mark Woyongo was a former MP of Navrongo, former Interior Minister, owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Tamale-based Diamond FM.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Woyongo, children and other relatives.
