Inusah Fuseini, a former MP for Tamale Central, has called on President Akufo-Addo to address the controversial acquisition of state assets by Bryan Acheampong, the Agriculture Minister.
In an interview on TV3’s Keypoint, Fuseini expressed concerns over Acheampong’s sudden wealth, questioning how he could afford to purchase a 60% stake in SSNIT Hotels worth $61 million.

Fuseini criticized President Akufo-Addo for setting a bad precedent by using state resources to renovate his personal property, and urged him to take action against Acheampong’s acquisition of state assets.
Meanwhile, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, led a protest against the sale of SSNIT Hotels, arguing that a cabinet member should not be allowed to acquire state assets.
The protest, dubbed “Hands Off our Hotel,” was supported by organized labor, minority MPs, and individuals who oppose SSNIT’s decision to sell the hotels.
Ablakwa has petitioned President Akufo-Addo to intervene, warning of further protests across the region if no action is taken.
Fuseini’s comments add to the growing criticism of Acheampong’s acquisition, which many see as a conflict of interest and a betrayal of public trust.
