Former sports minister laments over poor state of Ghana’s national team

Mr Edwin Nll Lange has expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of players in the Ghana premiere league.

The former sport minister and currently the member of the ododiodoo member of Parliament shared his concerns with Citisports while highlighting the significance of an urgent improvement in the league.

The former minister further expressed his dismay over the state of Ghana’s football and their premiere league. He also noted that efforts must as a matter of urgency is taken to revive and raise the standard of play of the league.

Mr Lange specifically pointed out the disparity between the Ghana league and those of other African nations while citing the recent performance of the national team the Black stars as evidence of the country’s lagging progress in the sport.

“They are nowhere near the premier league teams. Quality very poor, the players are substandard. We must do something about the local league”. He stated.

However, the Ghana 2023/2024 is scheduled already for September this year.
